How To Build A BUDGET Gaming PC, Find Good Deals On Computer Parts

First thing about building a gaming computer, we need to look for computer parts and make sure they are compatible with each other as well as serve our intended purpose while fitting our budget. It requires a great deal of patience to find good deals, and a "great" deal might never be found if our price criteria is too strict or there are no good sales. Talking about good sales on computer parts, in my shopping experience, the best time to buy electronics is around the holiday season from the end of October lasting through January of the following year. Though you might think and fret about having to line up at your local brick and mortar (B&M) stores on big-sale days, i.e. Black Friday being the most famous, this is generally not true when shopping for computer parts. First reason is your local B&M store might not have the variety of products carried as seen with online retailers. Second is that most B&M stores only have a few big ticket items while most other things carry little to no discounts.

Though there is one exception to my retailer-bashing train and that is Microcenter (MC). Microcenter is a B&M chain and is present in 16 states with a total of 25 stores, as of July 2014. They offer the best prices on processors, period. Either you're going Intel or switching to the darkside with AMD, they will have the other retailers/etailers' next lowest price beaten by at least 20%. And the best part is that MC even offers another $30-50 discount on compatible motherboards when purchased together as a combo with your processor. This saves you an average total of 70 dollars and that savings could go into a much nicer case or/and a high quality power supply.

To be continued.
